We loved the stunning view of the lake from our room, and the hotel facilities including the comfortable public bath/onsen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the vegan meal options for dinner and classic Japanese cuisine for breakfast. The location near the lake made it easy to rent boats and canoes.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

We had a fantastic time at this charming traditional Japanese resort hotel. the location near the lake was breathtaking, with views of frozen lakes and snow-covered landscapes. the rooms were clean and spacious, with huge windows to make the most of the stunning views. the food was delicious, with plenty of variety, and the staff were incredibly hospitable and polite. the Onsen was amazing, especially the outdoor one, and we even enjoyed renting boats and canoes to explore the lake.
The hotel's amenities could use a bit of updating, but this didn't detract from our overall wonderful experience.

Great lake view and delicious food. Hotel is surrounded by nature, an ideal location for relaxation. The outdoor Onsen was amazing, watching the snow falling on the lake was incredible.
The hotel building was old and worn-out. Our room was too hot and dry, and the pillows were too hard. The wifi was not available on our floor, and the laundry facility in the hotel was run down and in a creepy location. The location was isolated and inconvenient if you are not interested in activities in the area.
